Description

BUYIT NOW PRICE INCLUDES $400 WORTH OF STEEL BODY REPAIR PARTS, EMBLEMS, GRILLE TRIM, SET OF STAINLESS STEEL WHEEL TRIM RINGS AND HAYNES RESTORATION MANUAL
Thislisting is for a 1972 MGB Convertible, 4 spd in great running condition. The car has been currently registered in California but kept in a garage and ran a minimum of once a month to keep in goodrunning order for the last 6-7 years. I purchased this car because I always wanted one and was lookingfor a driver not a car to completely restore. I just drove this car 200+mi round-trip in 80 degrees and hit traffic. This car is tight, drivesand handles well and really doesn't need anything to be used as a driver; maybe a new set of tires. It is a 42year old car that is in original condition so it also not brand new; butfor this price in my opinion a very nice example.

The Good
This car was very well maintained with receipts to prove it. Over $4000 in receipts in last 10k miles Dash is in excellent condition with no rips or tears Runs well, starts right up every time Top is in good condition no rips or tears
In last 10,000miles; new rear brakes with wheel cylinders, clutch slave cylinder and clutch master cylinder
In last 4,000miles; engine rebuilt with new components for cylinder head, gaskets, etc., Radiator re-cored, front lower control arms, front brakes, ignition switch, starter, brake master cylinder and Interstate battery
Two sets of keys
Body is very straight Original MG luggage rack Interior is in nice original condition Transmission shifts well with good clutchCar was originally blue and was painted British Racing Green; paint job was very well done and it is difficult to find any of the original colorTrunk is fully carpeted with MG logo spare tire cover
What you should know
Dash switch is missing; not sure which one
Crack in windshield - see photoPassenger seat bottom has broken seam and Drivers has tear on bolster; Ebay has a nice vinyl set for $150 Radio is a hole filler; does not work
RUST ON DRIVERS DOG LEG AREA AND ON PASSENGER SIDE; ALSO ON PASSENGER FENDER BY HEADLIGHT. (please see photos).

My plan was to have my body shop cut out the rust and repair with the new steel body panels and then paint the new areas and blend to the existing good quality paint. You could do this rather inexpensively or simply drive the car the way it is everyday. I applied a rust inhibitor to at least slow things down. You are welcome to test drive the car. The car has a clean title (inhand) and is registered in California.
